Do not sell or share my personal information
Alcovio does not sell your personal information for money, and never has. But when you click through to a retailer, an affiliate network sets a cookie so the retailer knows the visit came from us and pays us a commission. Under the privacy laws of California and several other states, that counts as “sharing” or “targeted advertising”, and you have the right to turn it off.
The button below does exactly that, for every retailer link on this site. It is the same control as the “Decline” option in the banner you saw on your first visit, and you can change your mind here at any time.

What changes when you turn it off
- Every link still works. You can browse and buy exactly as before. Nothing is hidden or restricted.
- We stop attaching a session token to your clicks and set no advertising or attribution cookie of our own.
- The retailer may not credit us for your purchase, which costs us the commission. That is the trade, and it is yours to make.
- Your choice is stored on this device, in a cookie that records only the choice itself. Clearing your cookies clears it, and you will be asked again.
Other ways to opt out
Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we honour it automatically and it overrides anything stored here. You do not need to do anything else.
Industry tools. You can opt out of interest-based advertising more broadly at YourAdChoices (Digital Advertising Alliance) and the Network Advertising Initiative. Our affiliate networks are named individually, with their own opt-out links, in Section 3 of our privacy policy.
Access, deletion and other rights. To exercise any other privacy right, or to make this request in writing instead, email privacy@alcovio.com. We do not require an account to make a request, and we do not charge for one.
